Paper and Ink Imaginings

Crazy for Old Background Stamps!

Recently, I was simultaneously working on cards for Offspring3, mother-in-law, and my card basket. Since I am still battling a little bit of Low MOJO, I thought I would pull out old Stampin’ Up! background stamps that help fill up the front of a card (without much effort from ME!). I already had the diamond background out to work on the Project Runway inspired card.

I can’t even explain how much joy this stamping gave me!

I could just add a sentiment (like the card at the top, or this one below):

Or I could add a few accent stamps and a sentiment:

Supplies: Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Hero Arts, Papertrey Ink, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Gmund Royal, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Pop-Tone Black Licorice, Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, inks – Stampin’ Up! Soft Sky, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Ink Candied Apple, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Ink Picked Raspberry, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangles), My Favorite Things (pierced rectangles), embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, Ranger Super Fine Detail white.
