When I made the Joe Cool card a few weeks ago, I made an extra royal brick background. I looked at it a few days later, and decided it needed to be a baby card.
Supplies: Stamp – Clearly Besotted, Sugar Pea Designs, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pure Poppy, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Ink Blueprint Sketch, VersaMark, dies – Sugar Pea Designs (onesie), Taylored Expressions (banner), stencil – Taylored Expressions, embossing powder – Ranger Silver Pearl.
I made time to visit my craft table and try to find some missing MOJO over the weekend. This card has been in pieces in my cabinet for at least 3 months (the baby wasn’t colored, nothing was assembled). Boy, do I feel rusty!
Let’s see, what else is going on?
Mid January, and I am tired of winter (mid-Atlantic up & down winter). I do love snow, but only if I have nowhere to drive until the roads are clear.
I am avoiding the gym right now – too many germs.
Adjusting to hearing aids. “WHAT???” I knew that I was missing things, didn’t know I was missing enough for hearing aids. The ones I have are comfortable – didn’t expect that (have watched my mother struggle with comfort in hearing aids for over 20 years). I have noticed if I am watching TV alone that I can reduce the volume. I am struggling with background noise and anything I have coming via Bluetooth from my phone (too loud and not easily adjustable). I miss having room behind my ears to tuck my hair. I am a work in progress.
I hope your January is going well!
Supplies: Stamp – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pixie Pink (retired), inks – Copic E21, RV13, Y18, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Ink Abandoned Coral, Picked Raspberry, VersaFine Onyx Black, stencil – Simon Says Stamp, dies – Spellbinders, sequins – Pretty Pink Posh, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.
I have a few very specific cards that I should be working on, but my mojo is not at the optimum level for “very specific cards”. So, I am working on perfectly lovely cards that will fill holes in my card basket.
Supplies: Stamps – Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, Melon Mambo, inks – Copic E21, RV04, Y17, VersaFine Onyx Black, ZIG Wink of Stella clear, dies – Essentials by Ellen ( scallops), Spellbinders (circles, rectangle), embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.
I have been turning it over & over in my head, trying to get my angle on it. I stamped, stenciled, embossed and cut all of my pieces. The ones on the left are card bases, next to that is the largest layer. My background options are on the right, with the horse and the two sentiment choices.
I mixed and matched the options and took photos to send to my cousin (the customer).
How does your design process go when the item is not for you?
