I was inspired by a tulip stamp I saw last week – that I don’t have, I don’t have the craft funds to purchase (and, really, I would use it for March & April, then it would sit the rest of the year).
So I pulled out my old, wood mount tulip stamps. Made 16 cards, and have 2 more images (a newer, mixed bouquet stamp) colored but not made into cards yet. Always good to pull out the old stuff to see if it still works – of course it does! (why else would I have kept it in my basement this long – the old favorites ALWAYS work!)
The thank you set (of 8) is for my mother-in-law.

This is the combination of graphic & feminine. This graphic birthday block stamp is a favorite of mine, but I usually only color individual blocks for a very graphic card. I took the plunge and stamped a feminine background in a light color ink, then stamped the birthday block over top. Did you see the light bulb fire over my head??? LOVE the result.
See what I mean? Very graphic. No softness.
Here is the feminine background. Lovely, but depending on the color I choose for stamping, it may look like wallpaper from maternal grandma’s house circa 1950! (Note: paternal grandma’s house had no wallpaper.)

Yes, you are required to say “happy yellow” in your best Bob Ross voice!
These went to my mother in law this week. I think she gave some of the last cards to one of her caregivers and now needs replacements? Unclear.
“Stay at Home” is going OK. I am only leaving the house to walk, get groceries, or check on my parents. Offspring3 and I completed a 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle in about 8 hours on Monday.
How are things in your private space?

Last weekend, hubby went to visit his parents. He ran some errands for his mother, and she had requested that he purchase some greeting cards for her to have at the house. Hubby does not like shopping for cards, so he came back from the store without them. “Oh, Kathy can make them for you.” Which is fine and dandy, but I make cards that are blank inside. Now I have to come up with inside sentiments for the cards she requested (card sentiments are so personal to me – I dislike trying to pick for cards that other people will send). Not an insurmountable task, but one I dread. It will all work out…but I will procrastinate!

Trying to get the MOJO restarted. Ugh, it went to sleep!
Thanksgiving week was really busy, plus my clothes dryer died the week before, and I didn’t get a new machine until last Monday. (I am incomplete without laundry detergent and working laundry machines!) And I slept badly all week.
Cyber Monday was hectic (my husband kept asking me to order items in his shopping carts for him – LOL! I’m serious!), and Tuesday I got bogged down in my in-law paperwork for a bit.
I need to get moving on my own Christmas cards – hopefully I will have something to post in that direction for tomorrow.
If I don’t get sidetracked by the impeachment proceedings. Wherever you stand on the subject, it is HISTORIC.
