The Henna Elements stamp set was on my work table from yesterday’s project. Hmmm…did I use that set in the past for a Mother’s Day card for my mother-in-law? (scrambles to search files…) No, I did not!
This one took a while – masking with heat embossing takes extra time (for cooling, so I don’t ruin what I already embossed!). But I was patient, so it all worked out for me.
Supplies: Stamps – Altenew, Clearly Besotted, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Chocolate Chip (retired), So Saffron, ink – VersaMark, embossing powder – Stampin’ Up! Gold Glory.
This is a Mother’s Day card that I made for my Mom. The “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment is embossed inside.
I am trying to get settled back into a routine since returning from vacation – I have conquered all of my chores, but I am struggling with my creativity. And I can’t seem to get enough sleep! (I think that is more allergy related than jet lag? Maybe just a combination of both.)
Supplies: Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Gina K. Designs, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Pop Tone Sour Apple, inks – Gina K. Designs Amalgam, Cherry Red, Jelly Bean Green, Wild Lilac, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear.
Early in April, I was watching the premiere of the Trading Spaces reboot…and of course there was a paint chip commercial. Paint chips! Gotta do it for my friends!
These got mailed out before Offspring3 and I left on our adventure.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Supplies: Stamp – Clearly Besotted, paper – American Crafts Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Life, Bo Bunny Garden Party, Crate Paper Good Vibes, Home Depot paint chips, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Black, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – Ranger Silver Pearl.
It is so hard to make something with this many individual stamped images without making mistakes, even with a MISTI! This was my 3rd try, and there are still flaws. Alas, I covered the biggest one with the sentiment strip, and used a sand eraser to get rid of most of another.
Supplies: Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Cameo Coral (retired), Lovely Lilac (retired), inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Ink Abandoned Coral, Mowed Lawn, Seedless Preserves, Squeezed Lemonade, Wilted Violet, VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Lawn Fawn, sequins – Pretty Pink Posh, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.
I used a retired background stamp (Stampin’ Up! Pretty Petals) for this. I stamped in blue ink, and then used Silver Pearl embossing powder, so there is a bluish tinge to the soft silver pearl color of the image.
Supplies: Stamps – Clearly Besotted, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pacific Point, So Saffron, inks – VersaFine Deep Lagoon, Onyx Black, embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder Clear, Ranger Silver Pearl.
The main image is on a wobble spring, and intentionally mounted with the lady leaning. When you make it wobble, it looks like she is falling.
True story: My maternal grandmother was sitting in a similar lawn chair at our neighborhood picnic sometime while I was in high school. She was watching the softball game, beer in her hand. A small plane went over head (we were less than 10 miles from a small community airport), and it caught her eye. It must have gone straight over her. She watched it diligently and leaned a little too much in that webbed lawn chair. She went over backwards. One of those slow motion visuals. She didn’t get hurt, but she did spill her beer.
With that story in mind, how else could I use this image for Mom???
