Paper and Ink Imaginings

Tulips for Days

(click on any image to enlarge in new window!)

This past weekend I went TULIP CRAZY. Seriously.

I was inspired by a tulip stamp I saw last week – that I don’t have, I don’t have the craft funds to purchase (and, really, I would use it for March & April, then it would sit the rest of the year).

So I pulled out my old, wood mount tulip stamps. Made 16 cards, and have 2 more images (a newer, mixed bouquet stamp) colored but not made into cards yet. Always good to pull out the old stuff to see if it still works – of course it does! (why else would I have kept it in my basement this long – the old favorites ALWAYS work!)

The thank you set (of 8) is for my mother-in-law.

Personalized Diamond Background Cards

The diamond background in this color blue (Distress Ink Salty Ocean) reminds me so much of the Bavarian flag! I had to add my German pretzels to it!

This one is for Offspring1. The little tiny bike came in a Hero Arts stamp set, and I was so happy that it fit within the diamonds!

I also like the image on the inked diamonds.

Aqua Thank You Card

In addition to Valentine’s Day cards, I am working on a random assortment of thank you cards. “Random” is the key word there – when I stall thinking too hard about Valentines & impending deadline, I can switch to the thank you collection for a quick burst of productivity.

Supplies: Stamps – Cornish Heritage Farms, Wordsworth, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pool Party, inks – Stampin’ Up! Pool Party, VersaFine Vintage Sepia, die – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Sweet Bouquet Thanks Note Cards

Received this cute little stamp set as a thank you gift with a Taylored Expressions order.

I actually inked the freebie before I inked any of the other stamps or stencils.

Quicky Note Cards

I do love note cards – the perfect snail mail surprise!

Really quick and easy to make with scrapbook paper.

Supplies:  Stamps – Hero Arts, Stampin’ Up!, paper – American Crafts Amy Tangerine (foliage), butterflies source unknown – I bought it at JoAnn’s, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Pop Tone Sour Apple, Stampin’ Up! Dachshund Snowy Day Thank You Card

Another card requested by my cousin.

I have created sunny day backgrounds for the dachshund to frolic in, but it is December, and I wasn’t looking to do that. I looked through my 6 x 6 holiday papers and found this perfect scene.

Hope your Christmas was the best it could be in this odd, trying year. Ours was very nice, although different (we delivered holiday food to my parents on Christmas, and my in-laws on the day after Christmas). The package mailed to Offspring1 that we thought got lost (in reality, it sat in the overwhelmed Baltimore Post Office for 2 weeks), arrived safely at its destination on Christmas Eve.

So, I am ready to clean up 2020 and move on to 2021.

Have a great day!

Snoopy Thank You Card

One of my cousins requested a few thank you cards.

I stamped Snoopy, then masked him with a piece of a Post It Note, and blended a background around him.

Fretting about things that are not Christmas related, not getting the Christmas related things done. Oh, well.

Soft Sky (retired), inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Ink Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Spellbinders, embossing folder – Provo Craft, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder, twine – Stampin’ Up!
