I made a few holiday money holder cards this year, all the same design, just variation in the color scheme. I used the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board to make envelopes out of holiday scrapbook paper. The cards are not being mailed, but presented in person. I apologize for no photo of the envelope – the light was fading and I was rushing.
The finished size is 3 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches.
Supplies: Stamps – A Muse Artstamps, Simon Says Stamp, paper – Curious Metallics Blueprint, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Tempting Turquoise (retired), ink – VersaMark, die – My Favorite Things, embossing powder – Stampin’ Up! Sterling Silver.
Offspring1 took a job opportunity on the other coast, and he and his girlfriend just moved recently.
Very proud of him, very happy for them, very excited for their new adventure.
The sentiment is not as wonky in person (I did redo the sentiment after the photo – it was better, still not perfect – tiny sentiment stamps are difficult!).
I also made a pastel version of this – just because my Copics were speaking to me after the first image was colored. Sentiment TBD because I couldn’t commit to blocking any of the pastel buildings!
Supplies: Stamps – PinkFresh Studio, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Tempting Turquoise (retired), Curious Metallics Blueprint, inks – Copic (dark version) B24, B39, C1, C3, C5, C7, Y18, (pastel version) B00, BG01, BV00, G00, R20, VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Simon Says Stamp (banner), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.
I was inspired by THIS blog post by Jennifer McGuire to try inking an embossing folder before cranking it through my die cut machine.
My ink did not turn out as smooth as hers did – my brayer is old and not used much, maybe I need a new one. I was happy enough to make it into a card to be mailed off to a friend.
“Sparkly” is in the title because the blue paper is iridescent when you tilt it towards the light.
Supplies: Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Curious Metallics Blueprint, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, VersaMark, embossing folder – Darice, die – Lawn Fawn, embossing powder – Ranger Silver Pearl.
Made this card for someone who loves cats and has an October birthday. The Spooky Night paper (purchased several years ago on clearance) just seemed perfect.
