Paper and Ink Imaginings

New Year Card – Version 2

Well, really, it is really about version 37. I kept redesigning it.

They are in the mail – can’t change my mind again!

I PROMISE to make Christmas cards in July this year, so I don’t struggle in December and January for holiday cards again.

Supplies:  Stamps – Hero Arts, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Curious Metallics Blueprint, White Gold (I think?? unsure), Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Pool Party, inks – Ranger Emboss It, VersaFine Clair Twilight, die – Spellbinders, embossing powders – Ranger Silver Pearl, Stampendous Detail Clear.

Navy, Turquoise and Silver Snowflake Money Holder Card

I made a few holiday money holder cards this year, all the same design, just variation in the color scheme. I used the We R Memory Keepers envelope punch board to make envelopes out of holiday scrapbook paper. The cards are not being mailed, but presented in person.  I apologize for no photo of the envelope – the light was fading and I was rushing.

The finished size is 3 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches.

Supplies:  Stamps – A Muse Artstamps, Simon Says Stamp, paper – Curious Metallics Blueprint, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Tempting Turquoise (retired), ink – VersaMark, die – My Favorite Things, embossing powder – Stampin’ Up! Sterling Silver.

Blue City Skyline Adventure Card

Offspring1 took a job opportunity on the other coast, and he and his girlfriend just moved recently.

Very proud of him, very happy for them, very excited for their new adventure.

The sentiment is not as wonky in person (I did redo the sentiment after the photo – it was better, still not perfect – tiny sentiment stamps are difficult!).

I also made a pastel version of this – just because my Copics were speaking to me after the first image was colored. Sentiment TBD because I couldn’t commit to blocking any of the pastel buildings!

Supplies:  Stamps – PinkFresh Studio, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Tempting Turquoise (retired), Curious Metallics Blueprint, inks – Copic (dark version) B24, B39, C1, C3, C5, C7, Y18, (pastel version) B00, BG01, BV00, G00, R20, VersaFine Onyx Black, die – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Simon Says Stamp (banner), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Sparkly Faux Letterpress Birthday Card

I was inspired by THIS blog post by Jennifer McGuire to try inking an embossing folder before cranking it through my die cut machine.

My ink did not turn out as smooth as hers did – my brayer is old and not used much, maybe I need a new one. I was happy enough to make it into a card to be mailed off to a friend.

“Sparkly” is in the title because the blue paper is iridescent when you tilt it towards the light.

Supplies:  Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Curious Metallics Blueprint, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, VersaMark, embossing folder – Darice, die – Lawn Fawn, embossing powder – Ranger Silver Pearl.

Pool and Sparkly Navy Thinking of You Note Card

My mojo is being skittish – I think it is hiding under the basement couch .

I pulled out a background stamp that has been on my mind (I think I saw something with a background done with a circle stencil last week??).

Supplies:  Stamps – Papertrey Ink, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Curious Metallics Blueprint, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, inks – Gina K. Designs Sea Glass, VersaFine Clair Twilight, dies – My Favorite Things (pierced rectangle), Taylored Expressions (flower), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Butterfly Circle Birthday Card

This is card #2 for my mother-in-law – her birthday is next week.

I had been looking at a Reverse Confetti stamp set that has a butterfly wreath. Pretty. BUT, no disposable income to be found in my craft wallet.

Do I have a small butterfly stamp that I can use with the Gina K. Designs wreath builder?? (YES)

Supplies:  Stamps – Gina K. Designs, Papertrey Ink, paper – Curious Metallics Lime, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Grape, inks – Hero Arts Fiesta Yellow, Taylored Expressions Jelly Donut, Lime Zest, Lollipop, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangle), Spellbinders (circles), embossing folder – Provo Craft, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.
