Watercolored Gerberas Birthday Card

It seems like forever since I have posted. I have been very busy with elderly parent tasks for my in-laws.

I painted this for personal use. I used Dr. Ph. Martin’s liquid watercolors (Hydrus Set 1) – they are so vibrant.

I will admit, I had a difficult time trimming it down from the original size (8.5 x 5.5) to fit on a card front – I didn’t want to lose any of the flowers.

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Gina K. Designs, paper – Arches watercolor, Curious Metallic Blueprint, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, watercolors – Dr. Ph. Martin’s Hydrus Set 1, dies – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Watercolored Daisies Mother’s Day Card

Back in March, I purchased a set of Dr. Ph. Martin’s Hydrus liquid watercolors (half price sale).

I have finally gotten around to trying them. They are very concentrated, I only used a few drops of each color. Next time, I will try a bolder palette.
