Ellen Hutson is having her 12 Tags of Christmas 2019 Challenge again this year. I always love to see what her designers create. This year, the daily themes are inspired by Christmas Carols.
My tag was inspired by Day 7, Cool Yule with Heather Meeson . After I saw the title, “Cool Yule”, Baloo from the animated version of The Jungle Book was stuck in my head.
So, I colored the MFT sELFIE bear similar to Baloo. Who could be cooler? Shoobie doo bop!
Supplies: Stamps – My Favorite Things, Scrapbook.com, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, inks – Copic 100, B0000, N1, N4, R29, YG23, Gina K. Designs Amalgam, VersaFine Onyx Black, ZIG Wink of Stella clear, die – Taylored Expressions, hole punch – Fiskars, organdy ribbon – ClearBags.
Oh, come on, you had to see this one coming from a mile away!
I used paint chips, sample paper, and dies.
I order envelopes and paper from a company called Paper-Papers. With every order, you get a random sample pack of scraps. I LOVE THIS! Would I really order a pack of 25 sheets of all of the colors? No. But the scraps are great for accents and projects like this. Paper-Papers even puts a label listing the contents on the sample pack, so you know what you are using.
Supplies: Paper – Home Depot, Lowe’s Paint Chips, Stampin’ Up! Brushed Silver, Malmero Perle White, Stardream Metallics Azalea, Dolomite, Emerald, Juniper, dies – Impression Obsession (snowflakes on large paint chips), My Favorite Things (snowflakes on small aqua paint chips), Reverse Confetti (holly & berries), Stampin’ Up! (ornament/hanger), The Cat’s Pajamas (largest snowflake), cord – Offray, metallic cord – PaperMart.
This bright garland arrived here in a Victoria’s Secret mailing. I cut one section off, backed it with white (and “to/from”), and cut around the snowflake.
Doesn’t it make a great tag?
The Christmas tree got put up and decorated over the weekend (check that off the list!). This week, I need to make a new Christmas stocking and work on the annual wall calendar. And finish shopping. Next week will be baking & wrapping.
Have you received any holiday cards in the mail? We get fewer every year. We have received one card so far (from the Heating & Air Conditioning company!).
Supplies: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White (you can’t see this!), Victoria’s Secret paper garland, metallic cord – PaperMart.
My HOLIDAY TO DO LIST was overwhelming me the other day. So, I said “I will make a few gift tags!” Things that are actually on the list, but more ART THERAPY than work!
Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, paper – Carta Bella, Lawn Fawn, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, paint chip (source unknown), ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – Stampin’ Up! Sterling Silver, dies – Lawn Fawn (tag), Papertrey Ink (bookmark), Reverse Confetti (squat tag, holly), 1/4 inch circle punch – Stampin’ Up!, twine – Offray, metallic cord – Paper Mart.
I stamped a half sheet of cardstock with a retired Stampin’ Up! flower and embossed the centers with gold. The to/from was stamped multiple times on another half sheet. I die cut 4 tags out of each half sheet and glued them together.
