A Card for Mom – Version 2

This is another card I made for Mom’s birthday.

I used a stencil to apply transfer gel, when that was dry, I ran it through my laminator with reactive foil.

Always difficult to capture foil in a photo!

And I found my Kindle charging cord the 5th time I checked my computer bag (how it traveled to/from vacation).

Ink Blended Hola Cards

My parents celebrated 64 years of marriage this week.

I used the carry out cups to represent their personal choices (Mom – tea, Dad – cocoa or a milkshake!).

Blended Sea Tones Birthday Card

This color scheme was inspired by a blog post by Kristina Werner. Gorgeous! (and, yes, I WANT that peony stencil!)

I made mine into a birthday card, and added a few coordinating sequins.

I had trouble photographing this – the first photo I had the card taped shut, so you can see the chicken through the window. Overall gloomy day on Monday, the lighting was just never optimal.

I am working on a small card assortment for a friend.

I finally bought a super fine white embossing powder to try (Ranger) – OH MY. The smooth result of the embossing makes me happy.

A daughter of a dear friend just graduated from college. School colors are deep green and gray. I had to make it a tiny bit feminine by ink blending a floral background (I am hoping it gives the impression of vintage lace – I may be reaching a bit far with that hope!).
