This is the bear stamp I used on my parents Christmas cards – those I left white as polar bears. Sometime over the holidays, I saw someone else had colored the bears brown for a card – adorable.
So, I embossed the bears onto watercolor paper and gently watercolored them. The snow is even sparkly white watercolor (you can almost see it in the photo).
And, YES, this is the card I am sending to my parents for Valentine’s Day.

I am in the middle of designing Christmas cards for my parents to mail. They chose this polar bear image, I came up with the rest.
While I am giving them this card to mail, I am not willing to make 24 more of these! It did turn out exactly as I hoped, but the steps to get me there were just too many.

These cute little owls (and sentiments) are from a tiny Technique Tuesday set called Cozy Up Owl. I sat them on an old Papertrey ink branch (actually, I stamped the individual owls first, masked their little feet, and then stamped the branch).
Last week was really busy for me, I didn’t spend much time at my craft table. This is a card I scrambled to make Sunday morning, to be able to post on Monday.

For the last two weeks, I have been struggling with the billing department of my dentist (note: As of Friday, the struggle appears to have been resolved in my favor. I am a skeptic, so, time will tell!). One day last week, one of the phone calls sent me over the edge…I needed RETAIL THERAPY on a budget! I ended up at Newton’s Nook…and I am am thrilled with the products I selected, the shipping cost, and the shipping time
I knew what I wanted to do with the flip flops before I even got the package open.
I used my handmade wreath building tool (inspired by GinaK Designs Wreath Builder Templates ) to position the flip flops perfectly.

This is a scrap of my favorite Basic Grey Romani line of paper from more than 10 years ago. My stash is down to one half sheet. SIGH. And Basic Grey went out of business.
I paired the delicate floral with “You are strong”, and I am sending it off to someone who could use a reminder of just that.
