Bear Pair Valentine’s Day Card

This is the bear stamp I used on my parents Christmas cards – those I left white as polar bears. Sometime over the holidays, I saw someone else had colored the bears brown for a card – adorable.

So, I embossed the bears onto watercolor paper and gently watercolored them. The snow is even sparkly white watercolor (you can almost see it in the photo).

And, YES, this is the card I am sending to my parents for Valentine’s Day.

Supplies:  Stamps – Hero Arts, Penny Black, paper – Canson watercolor, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Real Red, inks – Hero Arts Unicorn, VersaFine Onyx Black, ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Carmine Red (022), Light Gray (091), Wink of Stella clear, watercolors – Kuretake Gansai Tambi, Sakura Koi, embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder white, Stampendous Detail clear, twine – MarkerPOP.

Sleigh Dog Note Card

I fell in love with this quilted tag die from Reverse Confetti. I really do have a lot of ideas for it – I hope you don’t get tired of seeing it!

I cut my sky & snow paper with the hillside die, then glued them both onto a piece of scrap paper, to be cut with the quilted tag die.

How are you doing on your holiday tasks? I am WOEFULLY behind. Ugh. When am I really going to learn to make my own holiday cards in July???

Supplies:  Stamp – Newton’s Nook, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Shine Pearl, Stardream Metallic Aquamarine, Silver, inks – Copic E33, E53, R20, R29, 100, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Impression Obsession (snowflakes), Lawn Fawn (stitched hillside), Newton’s Nook (dog), Reverse Confetti (quilted tag), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – MarkerPOP.

Polar Bears Nose BOOP Card

I am in the middle of designing Christmas cards for my parents to mail. They chose this polar bear image, I came up with the rest.

While I am giving them this card to mail, I am not willing to make 24 more of these! It did turn out exactly as I hoped, but the steps to get me there were just too many.

Supplies: Stamps – A Muse Artstamps, Penny Black, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Curious Metallics Blueprint, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Real Red, inks – Copic B18, BG10, C00, C5, R0000, R14, R20, R29, Stampin’ Up! Pool Party, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn, Simon Says Stamp, embossing folder – Provo Craft, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear, twine – MarkerPOP.

Flip Flop Color Wheel Card

For the last two weeks, I have been struggling with the billing department of my dentist (note: As of Friday, the struggle appears to have been resolved in my favor. I am a skeptic, so, time will tell!). One day last week, one of the phone calls sent me over the edge…I needed RETAIL THERAPY on a budget! I ended up at Newton’s Nook…and I am am thrilled with the products I selected, the shipping cost, and the shipping time

I knew what I wanted to do with the flip flops before I even got the package open.

I used my handmade wreath building tool (inspired by GinaK Designs Wreath Builder Templates ) to position the flip flops perfectly.

This is a scrap of my favorite Basic Grey Romani line of paper from more than 10 years ago. My stash is down to one half sheet. SIGH. And Basic Grey went out of business.

I paired the delicate floral with “You are strong”, and I am sending it off to someone who could use a reminder of just that.

Supplies: Stamp – Essentials by Ellen, paper – Basic Grey Romani, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Poptone Sour Apple, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, die – My Favorite Things, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – MarkerPop.
