Happy Mother’s Day 2018

Early in April, I was watching the premiere of the Trading Spaces reboot…and of course there was a paint chip commercial. Paint chips! Gotta do it for my friends!

These got mailed out before Offspring3 and I left on our adventure.

Thanks a Latte Note Card

This really cute Avery Elle coffee themed set was one of the Christmas gifts – it is adorable. I did paper piecing with this (stamped the cup on the Oh Happy Life paper, and fussy cut out the cup body I wanted to use), and after I had glued it into place, I realized the matching die set comes with a die to cut that exact piece. (THANK YOU, Avery Elle!)

Oh Happy Life Grateful Card

This is a partial page from the Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Life 6 x 6 pad.

I am struggling with news overload – the Las Vegas tragedy has almost totally replaced the Puerto Rico crisis (in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria).

Hurricanes (and other weather related disasters), I can grasp “how this happened”. My understanding HOW does not make the outcome any less devastating.

Gun tragedies (“home grown terrorist”), like Las Vegas – I cannot wrap my head around these.

I don’t own a gun. I don’t want to own a gun. I don’t want the Second Amendment (the right to bear arms) repealed, but I don’t think anyone needs to have a semi automatic (or automatic) weapon.

Enough of my dark mood.

SO…let’s be grateful for what we have. Let’s go out and try to make someone’s day better, in whatever way (small or large) we can.

80? Owl Birthday Card

My Mom turns 80 this month. Unbelievable!

When I first flipped through the Amy Tangerine Oh Happy Life paper pad, I saw this owl page and knew exactly what I was creating. The inside sentiment is “WHO is counting?”

(Note: The only negative about the Amy Tangerine 6 x 6 paper pads – there is only one sheet of each design! So, I cannot make another owl card!)
