I used my ZIG real brush pens to wash a coral-y mix of pink and orange over this daisy (stamped on Bristol cardstock). After die cutting, I mounted on some neutral Amy Tangerine paper. Sadly, when I went to pull cardstock for matting and the sentiment, I found I was out of the old Stampin’ Up! Cameo Coral (a soft pastel coral). I did find a sheet of Regal Rose in my stash, it is close enough for this.
Dropped into the mail to a family member, HOPEFULLY arriving on time for Thursday birthday!

So…this is my anniversary card for my hubby. It does have Happy Anniversary on the inside.
The pizza paper was a whim. We have been joking for the last week that we can go get soft serve ice cream to celebrate our anniversary (the local stand was to open for the season on our anniversary…with the pandemic, they are not opening until a later date). Ice cream is NOT pizza, I know. But my ice cream cone paper is bright pink…not a color of my hubby. Pizza paper has blue (the hubby color). We do love pizza (homemade, or Grotto – which was a beach brand until about 3 years ago when they opened a store within 5 miles of us!).

I had this Avery Elle set on my work table (I used a Happy Birthday sentiment stamp), and this card just had to play through.
The cups are paper pieced with Amy Tangerine On A Whim paper.
The background is dry embossed with the cup die (hard to see – I should have used an extra shim!).

This past weekend, Offspring3 and I went to see “The Color Purple” at The Kennedy Center. It was a lovely show. On the way home, we stopped at our local soft serve stand and ate dessert before dinner! I got the better end of the deal – she bought the tickets & drove (Metro construction zones, rail closures made it too difficult to go on public transportation), I paid for parking and ice cream.
SO…I have had ice cream on my mind!
