I saw this stencil on Kristina Werner’s bloga few weeks ago (right around the time I needed retail therapy to deal with my dentist billing dispute!)
I blended three Distress Ink colors (Antique Linen, Shaded Lilac, Spun Sugar) over the stencil and let them dry. After I was sure the piece was dry, I carefully placed the stencil over the images exactly, and spread translucent embossing paste over the stencil. Now all of the shells are shaded, raised and shiny.
(SO HAPPY with how the background turned out!)
We spent last week at the beach. I already miss the sand, surf & shells! Everything is unpacked & put away, and I am all caught up on the laundry.
Back to reality – Mom fell again while I was gone and fractured her arm. Does anyone know where I can find a bubble wrap suit??

Yes, I have survived Thanksgiving hosting, and most of the leftovers are gone. I do feel like I have experienced a time warp, though.
Offspring3 brought this dog stamp home from a trip to Michael’s last week. Adorable. The dog on the left was stamped and heat embossed, the dog on the right was stamped (not embossed). The bow on both cards was colored using a Copic marker.
I came to the conclusion over the weekend that I am not designing one specific holiday card to send this year. I will probably put the same sentiment inside, but the cards are going to be random.
Supplies: Stamps – Clearly Besotted, Recollections, paper – Crate Paper Falala, Malmero Pearl Sparkle Green, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Real Red, inks – Copic R29, VersaFine Onyx Black, Vintage Sepia, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangles), Spellbinders (squares), embossing powders – Ranger clear, Stampendous Gold Detail, gold cord – Paper Mart.
Obviously, my Coffee Cup Tag stamps and dies were still on my craft table! The stamp set is actually a winter holiday set – so, I FINALLY made a winter holiday card.
I stamped the cup image in red ink (multiple times, using the MISTI, to get perfect coverage) and embossed with clear powder. The teal paper is from Lawn Fawn’s Snow Day 6 x 6 pad.
Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, paper – Lawn Fawn Snow Day, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray, Real Red, inks – VersaFine Onyx Black, Satin Red, dies – Hero Arts (cup, lid), Taylored Expressions (banner), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder, Ranger clear, metallic cord – Paper Mart.
The Hero Arts You’re So Lovely stamp set was still on my craft table. And I was looking at the greenery stamps. Hmmm….
I mounted 4 of the greenery stamps on one block and stamped a background, leaving space for the red berries. I was letting it dry, and I searched for a little dot to use to add some gold.
Very mail friendly!!
