While I had my Hero Arts house on my workspace, I made a “townhouse” version of a new home card.
Recently, Offspring3 and I went to the Kennedy Center to see the musical, “Chicago”. (thank you MUCHO, Offspring3!) We took the Metro (I don’t like driving in DC). The walk from the Foggy Bottom Metro station to the Kennedy Center was lovely. This row of houses was my inspiration for the card. Sorry about the wonky angle of the photo, I didn’t stop and square myself up directly across the street.
Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts, JustRite, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, inks – Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point, Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, die – Spellbinders, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, metallic cord – PaperMart.
Last of the cards for the large collection I just finished.
Hardest part of this – what colors do you think will be popular for 13 year old girls in the year 2029? Made my brain hurt for a few days, let me tell you!
I am pleased with the final product.
New kitchen flooring (sheet vinyl – I am old school!) being installed today. Can I admit I don’t enjoy remodeling mess? I vacuumed the kitchen, garage (table saw location), and deck (new patio sliding door installed) yesterday afternoon.
This card is part of a collection that I am working on for someone. I am ALMOST done the collection, but I keep getting sidetracked. I really need to power through and get it done.
Kitchen remodel begins today. I spent part of the weekend packing up everything currently in the kitchen and moving it to the basement. REALLY tired. I am curious to see the new kitchen come together.
I’m still plugging away at a collection of cards for someone. I was struggling with “masculine birthday” (because that is what I do!), and I remembered my jet stamps.
Stamps – Expressions in Ink, Papertrey Ink, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Soft Sky, ink – Copic BG0000, C3, VersaFine Smokey Gray, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangles), embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, silver cord – PaperMart.
Me, being the overachiever that I am, used silver and gold, and a shimmery white that has a touch of gold. And pearls.
The back of the tag is gold, with silver embossing.
(Look at how much the light changed in my family room in an hour!)
The challenge runs through December 17, 2016. AND, there is going to be a random drawing from all of the qualifying entries for $150 gift certificate to the Ellen Hutson store. Have you posted an entry yet??
Supplies: Stamp – Essentials by Ellen, paper – Curious Ice Gold, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stardreams Gold (back of tag), Silver, ink – VersaMark, dies – Impression Obsession (snowflakes), Lawn Fawn (stitched hillside), Taylored Expressions (tag), Swarovski pearls, embossing powder – Stampendous! Gold Detail, gold cord – Stampin’ Up! (retired), organdy/satin ribbon – PaperMart.
This bright garland arrived here in a Victoria’s Secret mailing. I cut one section off, backed it with white (and “to/from”), and cut around the snowflake.
Doesn’t it make a great tag?
The Christmas tree got put up and decorated over the weekend (check that off the list!). This week, I need to make a new Christmas stocking and work on the annual wall calendar. And finish shopping. Next week will be baking & wrapping.
Have you received any holiday cards in the mail? We get fewer every year. We have received one card so far (from the Heating & Air Conditioning company!).
Supplies: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White (you can’t see this!), Victoria’s Secret paper garland, metallic cord – PaperMart.
