Kissing Bears Card (featuring OLD mulberry paper!)

This image and sentiment were part of my Sunday morning scavenge.

I also unearthed a scrap of pale blue mulberry paper that must be 15 years old.

Here we are, the Friday before Thanksgiving, and I still have so much to do! (and WHY did my dryer pick this week to stop working???) I don’t think I will be blogging next week – I’ll be back the first Monday in December.

Bear Pair Valentine’s Day Card

This is the bear stamp I used on my parents Christmas cards – those I left white as polar bears. Sometime over the holidays, I saw someone else had colored the bears brown for a card – adorable.

So, I embossed the bears onto watercolor paper and gently watercolored them. The snow is even sparkly white watercolor (you can almost see it in the photo).

And, YES, this is the card I am sending to my parents for Valentine’s Day.

I die cut the snowflakes out of the red background, so the card base shows through.

Happy Mother’s Day

These are the cards I made for my close friends who are mothers. The “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment is on the inside of the card – I did not wish to cover up any of the watercoloring!

The image was embossed in gold, then I used my ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens (I have the set of 12) to watercolor the image. I like to dip the pen in water to lighten the color. The tinge of blue background was done with an aqua brush.
