Two Layer Holiday Tags

(click on any image to enlarge)

I invested in a new die set from My Favorite Things called Fold-Up Tags. What is unique with this set is that the top layer dies (3 with different bottom edge cuts) have a score line near the top that lets you fold back the top layer (neatly!) to see what is underneath after the top and bottom layers are glued together.

I used scraps from Crate Paper, Lawn Fawn, and…hmmm…that blue glitter snowflake paper…Recollections, maybe?

On the base layers I stamped “to: from”.

Supplies:  Stamps – Scrapbook.com, paper – Crate Paper FaLaLa, Lawn Fawn, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Recollections glitter (maybe!), Silver Mirror, Stampin’ Up! Bermuda Bay, Real Red, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – My Favorite Things, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail clear, metallic cord – Paper Mart, twine -Offray.

Ornaments Seasons Greetings Card

As soon as I opened the FALALA paper pad (by Crate Paper), I knew I wanted to cut an ornament out of that vintage scene sheet. This came together exactly as I imagined.

Holiday panic has begun for me. I was so comfortable last week, “oh, we have an extra week between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year…” YIKES. Reality slammed into me Friday when I flipped my wall calendar to December. Holy Guacamole, how am I going to get all of this done??? I know I do this to myself every year.

Have a good day!

Supplies: Stamp – Hero Arts, paper – Crate Paper Falala, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Recollections Gold Mirror, Stampin’ Up! Pretty in Pink (retired), Sage Shadow (retired), ink – VersaMark, dies – Stampin’ Up!, embossing powder – Stampendous Gold Detail, floss – DMC.

Dog Christmas Cards

Yes, I have survived Thanksgiving hosting, and most of the leftovers are gone. I do feel like I have experienced a time warp, though.

Offspring3 brought this dog stamp home from a trip to Michael’s last week. Adorable. The dog on the left was stamped and heat embossed, the dog on the right was stamped (not embossed). The bow on both cards was colored using a Copic marker.

I came to the conclusion over the weekend that I am not designing one specific holiday card to send this year. I will probably put the same sentiment inside, but the cards are going to be random.

Supplies: Stamps – Clearly Besotted, Recollections, paper – Crate Paper Falala, Malmero Pearl Sparkle Green, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Real Red, inks – Copic R29, VersaFine Onyx Black, Vintage Sepia, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangles), Spellbinders (squares), embossing powders – Ranger clear, Stampendous Gold Detail, gold cord – Paper Mart.

Stowaway Cards

Offspring3 went to Spain for 5 weeks this summer for a study abroad program.

#missedher

Of course I stashed some cards in her suitcase. For the times that Skype and Facebook messaging were not quite tactile enough.

Most of the cards contain an image or paper that she has gifted me.

Quick Holiday Card and Gift Tags

holiday-card-and-folded-tag-recollections-pad

I used the Recollections “Red & White Christmas” 12 x 12 pad again – this time to make a card and some gift tags. The red foil is so hard to capture in a photo!

holiday-tags-2016-recollections-pad

The 12 x 12 pad has several pages that are designed as 6 x 6 squares. I used 2 of the 6 x 6 squares to make all of these items (and another tag exactly like the bottom photo).

Supplies: Stamps – Hero Arts,  paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Recollections Red & White Christmas, Stampin’ Up! Basic Gray, Real Red, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powders – Ranger Silver Pearl, Stampin’ Up! Sterling Silver, twine – Offray, metallic cord – PaperMart.
