Floral Birthday Card – Reverse Confetti June 2014 Color Challenge

rc june 2014 color chal birthday

The Reverse Confetti Color Challenge for June is aqua, red and yellow.

I was feeling happy flowers!

Not sure if my card has enough Reverse Confetti product (sentiment stamp, banner die) to be considered for the challenge prize, but it was fun to play along.

Floral Birthday Card – Reverse Confetti March 2014 Color Challenge

rc mar 2014 color birthday 2

Today, I am playing along with the Reverse Confetti March 2014 Color Challenge. LOVE these colors!

RC Mar14ColorChallengeI used the Reverse Confetti arrow die to make flower stems…what do you think? Good “outside the box” thinking? I own 4 Reverse Confetti products (2 stamp sets, 1 die set (tags), 1 single die (arrow))…difficult to keep using the same supplies in the challenges and NOT have the same exact card every time!

January 2014 Reverse Confetti Color Challenge – Encouragement Card

rc jan 2014 color challenge

This month’s Reverse Confetti Color Challenge colors are orange, yellow and aqua.

Jan14ColorChallenge reverse confetti

I chose Barely Banana, Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay for my card. I sponged the three colors onto a white scrap, and then die cut a tag from the sponged scrap. To make the layer for behind the sponged tag, I traced the tag die and cut just outside of the tracing. I embossed the paper crane, then fussy cut the image, and finally added Wink of Stella on the closest wing. The Spellbinders film die was used to emboss the yellow background.

This Reverse Confetti Paper Crane stamp set has the best encouraging sentiments!

Supplies: Stamps – Reverse Confetti, paper – Papertrey Ink White, Stampin’ Up! Barely Banana (retired), Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, inks – Stampin’ Up! Barely Banana (retired), Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, VersaFine Onyx Black, Wink of Stella clear, dies – Reverse Confetti, Spellbinders, sequins – Lawn Fawn (aqua), source unknown, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – Martha Stewart.

Reverse Confetti December 2013 Color Challenge Thank You Note Card

rc dec 2013 color challenge thank you

I played along with the Reverse Confetti December Color Challenge . The colors are red, pink and lime.

I chose very little red (the twine), and a hot pink. This color combo of hot pink and lime made me remember my copy of The Official Preppy Handbook by Lisa Birnbach (originally published in 1980, early in my college career). Now I am wondering if I still have it! But I am too busy to go look through my boxes of books that have no shelves.

Supplies: Stamp – Papertrey Ink, paper – Bazzill Lime, Papertrey Ink White, Stampin’ Up! Melon Mambo, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Reverse Confetti, embossing folder – Provo Craft, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – We R Memory Keepers.

Today, I am participating in the Reverse Confetti December Sketch For You To Try (#7).

I pushed this sketch to the last day…what is up with that? Let’s just blame it on BUSY and move on.

Offspring2 finished final exams Thursday night. Offspring1 starts final exams Monday. Offspring3 is waiting a bit impatiently for PSAT results to show up.  I can use this card for any one of them.

Supplies: Stamp – Reverse Confetti, paper – Cosmo Cricket, Papertrey Ink Kraft, Stampin’ Up! Marina Mist, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies (medium and large circle) – Spellbinders, circle punch (small circle) – Stampin’ Up!, embossing folder – Provo Craft, Dymo label maker, washi tape – Stampin’ Up!, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, twine – We R Memory Keepers.

I splurged a few weeks ago and bought a Reverse Confetti sentiment stamp set, and tag dies. Already L.O.V.E. both new additions.

Supplies: Stamp – Reverse Confetti, paper – Papertrey Ink White, Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Smoky Slate, ink – VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Reverse Confetti(tags), Spellbinders (rectangle), embossing folders – Provo Craft, enamel dots – Stampin’ Up!, twine – We R Memory Keepers, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear.

Reverse Confetti SFYTT#2 and Pals Paper Arts PPA162

rcsfytt2 ppa162 thinking of you

I combined a sketch challenge (Reverse Confetti’s July Challenge SFYTT#2) and a color challenge (Pals Paper Arts PPA162) for this card. Hardly had to do any thinking about it at all!   😉

The bucket is embossed with clear embossing powder – difficult to tell in this photo. The sky was created with a sponge.

I did struggle with what color to make the crab. Red crabs are cooked crabs, but we see mostly red crab images (with smiles!). I wanted to make a sand crab (light, translucent cream) next to my bucket, but my attempts to make that image a reality failed.

Supplies: Stamps – Stampin’ Up! Shore Thing (retired), paper – Papertrey Ink Kraft, White, Stampin’ Up! Pacific Point, Real Red, inks – Stampin’ Up! Crumb Cake, Pacific Point, Real Red, Soft Sky, dies – Spellbinders, embossing folder – Provo Craft, embossing powder – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, DYMO label maker, twine – Martha Stewart.
