Blended Mermaid Scales Hello Card

Hello!

I’ve been on a little personal COVID break. I am out of isolation, but still masking in the house. No real lingering symptoms – I am still tired, but I think that is from doing nothing.

I read one book (an old friend – A Tree Grows in Brooklyn – that I wanted to revisit after touring the Tenement Museum in NYC a few weeks ago), watched some things on Amazon Prime (no TV in my isolation room, the laptop saved me!).

Supplies: Stamp – My Favorite Things, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Pop-Tone Black Licorice, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Ink Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangles), stencil – Gina K. Designs, embossing powder – Ranger Super Fine Detail white.

Flowers in Bloom Hello Cards

I did a trio of hello cards – one goes in my basket, one goes in a pile for Offspring3, one goes in a pile for my mother-in-law.

Here are the other two cards:

Supplies: Stamps – My Favorite Things, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Desert Storm, Pop Tone Black Licorice, paint chips – Home Depot, inks – VersaFine Onyx Black, VersaMark, Prismacolor pencils – PC911, PC933, PC1011, embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, Ranger Silver Pearl

Crazy for Old Background Stamps!

Recently, I was simultaneously working on cards for Offspring3, mother-in-law, and my card basket. Since I am still battling a little bit of Low MOJO, I thought I would pull out old Stampin’ Up! background stamps that help fill up the front of a card (without much effort from ME!). I already had the diamond background out to work on the Project Runway inspired card.

I can’t even explain how much joy this stamping gave me!

I could just add a sentiment (like the card at the top, or this one below):

Or I could add a few accent stamps and a sentiment:

Supplies: Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Hero Arts, Papertrey Ink, Stampin’ Up!, paper – Gmund Royal, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Pop-Tone Black Licorice, Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy, inks – Stampin’ Up! Soft Sky, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Ink Candied Apple, Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Ink Picked Raspberry, VersaFine Onyx Black, dies – Lawn Fawn (stitched rectangles), My Favorite Things (pierced rectangles), embossing powders – Filigree Fine Art Powder clear, Ranger Super Fine Detail white.

Tie Dye Inspired Hello Card

Here is the dahlia stencil again! I wanted to make it look like a tie dye spiral pattern this time.

L.O.V.E. how this turned out!

Clean and Simple Hello Cards

My mother in law requested more greeting cards recently. I have been busy with non-crafty things, and my first thought was “I don’t really have time”.

Then, as luck would have it, Ellen Hutson posted a video by Julie Ebersole that inspired my simple layout.

Supplies:  Stamps – Essentials by Ellen, Newton’s Nook, paper – Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, inks – Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral, Salty Ocean, VersaFine Onyx Black, embossing powder – FIligree Fine Art Powder clear.

Magenta Foiled Llama Hola Card

This card started with the “Hola” – I found the stamped and embossed sentiment in one of my scrap folders. I looked through my paper pads and found this magenta foiled llama. Yep – a perfect match.

Supplies:  Stamp – Technique Tuesday, paper – DCWV No Prob Llama, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, Stampin’ Up! Island Indigo, ink – VersaMark, die – Lawn Fawn, embossing powder – Stampendous Detail gold.
